Attorney & Mediator
Dr. Faruk Özkan is an attorney and registered mediator based in İstanbul and İzmir, with an office in Istanbul. He holds a doctorate in private international law from Istanbul University and a master's degree in German private law and private international law from the University of Bonn. He is a member of the Istanbul Bar Associations and is registered as a mediator with the Ministry of Justice.
Legal matters are often complex, uncertain and stressful. The aim is to provide clients with a clear understanding of their situation, the available options and the likely outcomes — so that decisions can be made on a sound basis.
Each matter is approached with careful attention to the specific facts and the applicable law. Where litigation is necessary, it is pursued rigorously. Where a negotiated or mediated solution is possible, that path is explored first.
Dr. Özkan advises individual and corporate clients in Turkish, English and German. Cross-border matters — particularly those involving German-speaking countries and private international law questions — are a particular area of focus.
